THE PILOT
CENTER
Our goal is to build a holistic, ongoing support center for justice-involved individuals that provides the space, tools, and resources to help them successfully re-enter society.

WHAT WE OFFER
SUPPORT
Our center will serve as a centralized hub where
young adults can meet their basic needs as well
as visualize their long-term goals.
ACCESS
Young adults will be matched with an advocate
and will have access to mental health counseling,
art therapy, a kitchen, fitness center, computer
center, laundry machines, and showers.
YOUNG PEOPLE ARE BECOMING TRAPPED IN THE PRISON SYSTEM
Once young adults enter the prison system, the increased hurdles and limited resources and support make it more difficult to stay out.
WHY THIS MATTERS
RESOURCES ARE BEING WASTED ON IMPRISONMENT VS. REHABILITATION
It can cost up to $200K/year to incarcerate one inmate. For context, roughly 1⁄3 of that amount is spent per student each year on public education in the US.
If resources were focused more on support programs for justice-involved young adults, we could redirect them on a path towards success.
THE MASS INCARCERATION OF YOUNG PEOPLE IS PERPETUATING SYSTEMIC INEQUALITY
Having a criminal record makes it exponentially more difficult to obtain a job, making it nearly impossible for young adults to have a successful, profitable career and build generational wealth for their families and community.
